Our YMCA serves over 5,500 children, families and adults through our membership, programs, and mission outreach.  Our focus areas are youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Help us make our community a better place to live by making a financial commitment to the Stanly County Family YMCA.  Your gift will make a difference in the life of others by supporting the YMCA Backpack Program, Darkness to Light, LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, Open Doors Scholarships, Second Grade Learn to Swim, and the Sunday Lunch Program.

With your help, we will reduce childhood hunger, reduce childhood sexual abuse, support cancer survivors and their families, help neighbors in need, reduce childhood drowning, and feed the hungry.  We can't do this alone. Let's all give for a better us.

Volunteer for the Y

Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. Without volunteers we could not provide our community with the extensive services and programs we currently offer.

Volunteers provide essential assistance in the administration of each department division, serve on committees, work with staff to meet the needs of our members and participants, and provide many other valuable contributions to the organization.

Our YMCA offers year-round volunteer opportunities for members and non-members from the community and surrounding areas to give back and help build a better community within our Y. Opportunities range throughout the year and are based upon need within a program or department. Our manual is designed to guide and assist Volunteers and Volunteer Supervisors to effectively share the message of the Y.
