WELCOME BACK!

Governor Cooper announced that our indoor fitness areas could reopen under Phase III. We are so excited to have members back inside, and over the last several months, we have worked diligently to prepare our facility while putting your safety first. Our fitness areas are open with limited capacity (30%) and following all local, state and national guidelines.

We are keeping the safety and health of our members and staff at the forefront. For more details, please review the below information, and check back here often for updates. As guidelines and restrictions are released, changes may be made. The Stanly County Family YMCA will keep members informed through emails, website, Facebook and Instagram.

What to Expect and How You Can Help

Most importantly, if you are not feeling well or have come into contact with someone with COVID-19, please stay home. Help us keep our Y community safe and healthy.

Masks are required while exercising.

Please review our member expectations before you visit:

  • Members will be asked to sign an updated waiver before participating in any Y offerings. Click for adult waivers and minor waivers.  Waivers in Spanish are also available.
  • To ensure the utmost safety of our members, we will limit use of our facility to only active members of the Stanly County Family YMCA  until capacity mandates are increased.  Members are not allowed to bring guests at this time.
  • Rigorous cleaning protocols will continue throughout the facilities based upon CDC recommendations.
  • For your convenience, physical distancing guidelines will be highlighted via signage. Members and staff will be required to follow these guidelines.
  • All staff, members and vendors who are unwilling to comply with the Y's COVID transmission prevention measures will be asked to leave the Y.
  • We will be conducting wellness and temperature checks of all staff.  Staff will be required to wear masks and wash hands frequently.
  • The SCFY will not provide towel service.  Please bring your personal towel, OR towels can be purchased at the front desk.
  • To maintain 30% capacity for each fitness area, RESERVATIONS are required.  Please stop by the membership desk or call 704.982.1916 to reserve your space.

RESERVATIONS for lap swimming are also required.

We have followed guidance from the CDC, local health agencies and public officials to update our policies, practices and procedures to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene and make appropriate accommodations for social distancing so that every person who walks through our doors can stay safe and protected while getting back to what matters most: your health, your family and friends, and your community.

We thank you for your patience as we all work together to keep each other safe.
